RAMADHAN Farewell

Reflections during the last days of Ramadan
Drifting away
Gently with the tides
Taking the blessed days and nights
With you, oh precious boat!

Won't you slow down a bit?
I've got so little of your gifts!

Stranded on the ground
Of this transient land
Caught in the mirage
Nothing but heated sand
I embraced with both hands!

Only to discover
The gem of life
Is shaped with
Days and nights of sacrifice.

When you make the trip next year
I ponder with tears
Will I still be around?

If this was the final treat
I only hope I'm haven-bound

CAHAYA RAMADHAN

Ramadhan datang lagi
Bulan suci bulan mulia
Dan aku menyahut cintamu
Membersih noda dan dosa

Ku lihat kau tersenyum berseri
Bersama jutaan hikmah dan fadhilah
Terangmu membawa cahaya

Hadir dalam suasana damai untuk ummah

Kehadirannya dinanti

Pemergiannya ditangisi

Ketiadaannya dirindui

Begitu hebatnya Ramadhan

Menyejukkan hati insan

Membuka pintu taubat

Mendekatkan diri pada Tuhan

Dengan penuh keikhlasan

Aku ingin tersenyum padamu, ya Ramadhan
Terimalah senyuman tulus ikhlasku
Moga hati ini dekat padaNya
